By the time he was 21, Lazo had risen to the rank of Sergeant, leading troops through one of the most intense conflicts of our time—the invasion of Baghdad. For a year, he fought in combat, faced unimaginable challenges, and saw the harsh realities of war.

Yet, it wasn’t just the physical battles that Lazo endured. The psychological scars of war left him with a deep battle within himself. Returning home, he struggled with PTSD, unsure of how to confront the darkness he carried. But in the midst of his pain, Lazo found an unexpected path to healing—creating.
